FAQs
Is my image uploaded to any server?
No. Everything runs 100% inside your browser. Your image is never uploaded, stored, or sent to any server. All processing happens locally on your device using Tesseract.js OCR engine.
What kind of images give the best results?
Clear, high-resolution images with good lighting and dark text on a white background work best. Screenshots of spreadsheets, scanned documents, or photos of printed tables are ideal. Blurry or low-contrast images may reduce accuracy.
Can I open the downloaded file in Google Sheets?
Yes! The downloaded .xlsx file is fully compatible with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, and all other major spreadsheet apps. Simply upload or open it in any of these tools.
Why is processing slow on first use?
On the very first use, the browser downloads the Tesseract.js OCR engine (about 10MB) and caches it. After that, all future conversions will be much faster since the engine is already stored locally.
